After a long and successful career in the olive farming and packing industry, Gordon Keith Patterson, lovingly known by his family as Grandpa Pat, retired at the age of 78 years old.  In the next few years Grandpa Pat bought several citrus ranches in partnership with Clarence Hill, and also several of his own ranches in the Strathmore/Lindsay area.
